HORIZONTAL STABILIZER TRIM HYDRAULIC MOTORS - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This subject has three tasks. There is one task each for the removal, the installation, and the operational test of the horizontal stabilizer trim hydraulic motor (which is referred to as the "hydraulic motor"). The procedure has these parts:
(1)
The removal of the hydraulic motor
(2)
The installation of the replacement hydraulic motor
(3)
An operational test of the hydraulic motor.
B.
The removal and installation procedure is the same for the left and the right hydraulic motor.

Bucket - 1 gallon capacity (for hydraulic fluid)

Prepare for Removal

(1)
Do this task to release the pressure in the hydraulic systems No. 2 and No. 3: "Remove Hydraulic Power" (AMM 29-11-00/201).
(2)
Do this task: "Supply Electrical Power" (AMM 24-22-00/201).
(3)
Set the STAB TRIM 2 and 3 switches on the control stand to CUTOUT.
