Lubricate the backup rings (7) and O-rings (6 and 8) with hydraulic fluid or Skydrol assembly lube.

Install the backup rings, O-rings, adapters (4), and nuts (5) in the drive motor (9). Let the nuts (5) stay loose until the you connect the hydraulic lines (3).
(d)
Apply a thin layer of grease to the external spline of the motor.
(e)
Remove the cover from the flap power package opening.
(f)
Carefully install the drive motor into the power package. Make sure that the case drain is up.
(g)
Install the bolts (10 and 13), washers (11), and nuts (12).
NOTE: Install the bolt (13) through the motor into the power
____ package. Install the bolt (10) through the power package.
(h) Install the lockwire on the bolts (13).

Install the hydraulic lines:
(a)
Fill the drive motor with hydraulic fluid.
(b)
Remove the plugs from the hydraulic lines.
(c)
Align the hydraulic lines (3) with the adapters.
(d)
Tighten the nuts (5) on the adapters (4).
(e)
Connect the hydraulic lines (3) to the adapters (4).
(f)
Connect the case drain (2) to the drive motor (9).

_______ FLAPS AND FLAP DRIVE MECHANISMS BEFORE YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER. WITH HYDRAULIC POWER REMOVED, THE FLAPS WILL MOVE AUTOMATICALLY BY ELECTRICAL POWER WHEN YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER.

Bleed the hydraulic system:
(a)
Extend and retract the flaps slowly.

1. General_______
A. There are four tasks in this procedure. There is one task for the removal and one task for the installation of each flap alternate drive motor. The procedures have these parts.
