FLAP CONTROL LEVER RVDT ASSEMBLY - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. There are two tasks in this procedure. There is one task for the removal and one task for the installation of an RVDT assembly for the flap control lever. The procedure has these parts:
(1)
A deactivation of the flaps
(2)
The removal of the RVDT assembly
(3)
The installation of the RVDT assembly
(4)
An adjustment of the RVDT assembly
(5)
An activation of the flaps.

P7, Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
1) 7C10, FLT CONT ELEC 2L AC
2) 7C11, FLT CONT ELEC 2L DC
3) 7C12, FLT CONT ELEC 1L AC
4) 7C13, FLT CONT ELEC 1L DC
5) 7C14, FLT CONT ELEC 1R AC
6) 7C15, FLT CONT ELEC 1R DC
7) 7C16, FLT CONT ELEC 2R AC
8) 7C17, FLT CONT ELEC 2R DC

WARNING: MAKE SURE TO OPEN THE CIRCUIT BREAKERS FOR THE CAPTAIN'S AND
_______ THE FIRST OFFICER'S SEATS BEFORE YOU DO WORK AROUND THEM. A FAILURE TO OPEN THE CIRCUIT BREAKERS CAN CAUSE THE SEATS TO MOVE ACCIDENTALLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a)
P414, Power Distribution Center - Left 1) 414D8, CAPT PWR SEAT
(b)
P415, Power Distribution Center - Right 1) 415H32, F/O PWR SEAT

(5)
Remove the cover from the right side of the control stand.
S 864-006
(6)
Put the flap control lever in the 10-unit detent.
S 024-007
(7)
Remove the flap control lever RVDT assembly:
(a)
Disconnect the electrical connectors YBEJ16, YBEJ17, and YBEJ18.
(b)
Remove the bolt, washer, nut, and bushing which connect the rod to the crank.
(c)
Remove the three mounting bolts, nuts, and washers that connect the RVDT assembly to the control stand.
(d)
Remove the RVDT assembly.
