Clean the surfaces of the motor and the power package for an electrical bond (AMM 20-11-14/701).

For outboard drive motor part number 793T100, do this task: "Trailing Edge Flap Drive System Servicing" (AMM 12-13-13/301).
NOTE: It is not necessary to service the S256T004-15 alternate

drive motor.

Install the outboard drive motor:
(a)
Apply a thin layer of grease to the output spline of the motor.
(b)
Remove the cover from the power package.
(c)
Apply a thin layer of grease to the power package input spline.
(d)
Put the motor (5) on the power package.
(e)
Attach the motor to the power package with bolts (2, 3 and 7), washers (1), and a nut (4).
(f)
Install the lockwire on the bolts.

(4) Apply a layer of primer to the line between the motor and the power package.

Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:
(a)
P6, Main Power Distribution Panel
1) 6L19, TE FLAP ELEC CONT OTBD
(b)
P415, Power Distribution Panel
1) 415M38, TE FLAP ELEC OTBD

(2) Do this task: "Supply Electrical Power" (AMM 24-22-00/201).

CAUTION: DO NOT OPERATE THE TRAILING EDGE FLAPS WITH ELECTRICAL POWER
_______ THROUGH MORE THAN ONE FULL EXTEND/RETRACT CYCLE IN A 25 MINUTE TIME. THERE WILL BE DAMAGE TO THE FLAP ELECTRIC MOTORS IF YOU OPERATE THEM TOO FREQUENTLY.
(3)
Do a test of the flap alternate drive motor.
(a)
Push the ALTN FLAPS ARM switch to arm the alternate flap control system.
(b)
Turn the ALTN FLAPS switch to the EXT position. Make sure that the flaps extend.
(c)
Stop for 5 minutes to let the electric drive motors become cool.
(d)
Turn the ALTN FLAPS switch to the RET position. Make sure that the flaps retract.
(e)
Turn the ALTN FLAPS switch to the OFF position.
WARNING: MAKE SURE ALL PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE LE
_______ AND TE FLAPS AND FLAP DRIVE MECHANISMS. THE TE AND LE FLAPS WILL MOVE TO AGREE WITH THE CONTROL LEVER POSITION WHEN ALTERNATE CONTROL IS DISARMED. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(f) Push the ALTN FLAPS ARM switch to disarm the alternate flap control.
