Remove the inboard aftflap (Ref 27-51-03/401).
S 226-003
(2)
Measure the parts which connect the inboard aftflap for worn areas.
(a)
Remove the parts.
(b)
Use a micrometer or a vernier caliper to measure the parts.
(c)
Compare the dimensions that you measured with the permitted dimensions shown in Fig. 601.
(d)
Repair or replace the parts that are not in the tolerance as shown in Fig. 601.
(e)
Install the parts.

Measure the axial play in the inboard aftflap bearing.
(a)
Disconnect the parts to examine the axial play.

Attach a dial indicator.

Measure the axial play.
(d)
Compare the axial play which you measured to the permitted axial play as shown in Fig. 601.
(e)
Replace the bearings which are not in the tolerance.
(f)
Connect the items which you disconnected.
