Open the access door 312A (AMM 06-09-05/201).

Do this task: "Supply Electrical Power" (AMM 24-22-00/201).

Set the STAB TRIM 2 and 3 switches to ON.

Use the STAB TRIM ALTN switches to set the stabilizer to the neutral rig position (3 units of trim).

Set the STAB TRIM 2 and 3 switches to CUTOUT.

Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a)
P7, Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel

2) 7E20, STAB TRIM R S/O VLV

Install the air blower and the hose to supply air to the stabilizer center section.

Remove the Door Mechanism

Remove the door mechanism:
(a)
Remove the stabilizer blade seals.
(b)
Remove the bolts to disconnect the two control links at the two ends.
(c)
Remove the crossbolts to remove the crank.
(d)
Remove the nut to remove the yoke from the crank.

(1)
Do this task to make sure the door mechanism and the attachment fittings are in the tolerances: "Horizontal Stabilizer Body Seal Door Inspection" (AMM 27-41-14/601).

Install the door mechanism.
(a)
Apply a thin layer of grease to all the bolts.
(b)
Install the yoke on the crank with the washers, the nut and the cotter pin.
(c)
Tighten the nut by hand.
