(1)
Make sure that the power package output shafts move smoothly.

Install the adapters (14) in the flap control module (7):
(a)
Remove the caps from the flap control module ports.
(b)
Lubricate the rings (16) and the packings (15 and 17) with hydraulic fluid or Skydrol assembly lube.
(c)
Make sure that the flap control module (7) and hydraulic motor are filled with hydraulic fluid.
(d)
Install the rings (16), packings (15 and 17) and adapters (14) in the ports.

Install the flap power package:
(a)
Put the bushings (18 and 23) in the mounting lugs (Fig. 401).
(b)
Attach the fishpole hoist to the lift point on the wheel well bulkhead.
(c)
Attach the hoisting adapter tool to the lift lugs on the flap power package (1).
(d)
Lift the flap power package (1) into its position.
(e)
Install the three bolts (21), washers (19 and 22) and the locknuts (20) (Detail B, Fig. 401).
(f)
Install the three bolts (21), washers (19 and 22) and nuts (20) (section A-A).
(g)
Align the input arm (2) with the rod (6).
(h)
Attach the input arm (2) with a bolt (3), washer (4) and nut (5).
(i)
Remove the fishpole hoist and hoisting adapter.

Connect the hydraulic lines (10):
(a)
Make sure hydraulic systems No. 1 and 4 are not pressurized.
(b)
Remove the plugs from the hydraulic lines.
(c)
Align the hydraulic lines with the ports in the flap control module (7).
(d)
Tighten the nuts on the hydraulic lines (10).

Connect the electrical connectors:
(a)
DV138 (Inboard Flap By-Pass Valve)
(b)
DV139 (Outboard Flap By-Pass Valve)
(c)
DM625 (Alternate Inboard Flap Motor)
(d)
DM622 (Alternate Outboard Flap Motor)

Connect the bonding jumpers to the flap power package:
(a)
Connect the bonding jumper (23) to the alternate electric motor (24).
(b)
Connect the bonding jumper (8) between the bypass valve and the flap lever and quadrant assembly.

CAUTION:_______MAKE SURE THAT THE FLAPS ARE FULLY RETRACTED. THE RVDT CANNOT BE ADJUSTED IF THE FLAPS ARE EXTENDED.

Connect the electrical connector to the applicable RVDT (11) (AMM 27-58-01/401):

DM7889 Inboard Power Pack Transmitter
(b)
DM7892 Outboard Power Pack Transmitter

Connect the electrical connector to the applicable limit switch pack (12) (AMM 27-51-18/401):
