 C. Prepare for the Removal

 (1) Make sure that the landing gear ground locks are installed.
 S 492-039
 WARNING: CAREFULLY DO THE SPECIFIED TASK TO INSTALL THE DOOR LOCKS ON
_______ THE LANDING GEAR DOORS. THE DOORS CAN CLOSE QUICKLY IF YOU DO NOT INSTALL THE DOOR LOCKS CORRECTLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (2)  
Install the door locks on the doors for the body landing gear (AMM 32-00-30/201).

 (3)  
Release the pressure in hydraulic systems No. 1 and No. 4 (AMM 29-11-00/201).

 (4)  
Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:

 (a)  
P6, Main Power Distribution Panel
 1) 6L20, TE FLAP ELEC CONT INBD
 2) 6L19, TE FLAP ELEC CONT OTBD

Procedure

 (1)  
Remove the check valve (Fig. 201):

 (a)  
Disconnect the hydraulic return line (8) from the flap control module (7).

 (b)  
Remove the check valve (21) from the flap control module (7).

 (c)  
Install the protective caps on the module port and the hydraulic line.

 (1)  
Install the check valve:

 (a)  
Lubricate the backup rings (24) and O-rings (23) with the assembly lube or hydraulic fluid.

 (b)  
Install the backup rings and o-rings on the check valve (21).

 (c)  
Remove the protective caps.

 (d)  
Install the check valve (21) in the flap control module (7).

 (e)  
Connect the hydraulic return line (8) to the flap control module (7).

Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:

 (a)  
P6, Main Power Distribution Panel
 1) 6L20, TE FLAP ELEC CONT INBD
 2) 6L19, TE FLAP ELEC CONT OTBD
