Clean the surfaces of the motor and the power package for an electrical bond (AMM 20-11-14/701).

Install the inboard drive motor (Fig. 401):
(a)
Apply a thin layer of grease to the output spline of the motor.
(b)
Remove the cover from the power package.

(c) If necessary, install the adapter plate on the power package.
NOTE: Some motors come with an adapter plate.

Put the motor (12) on the power package.
(e)
Attach the motor to the power package with bolts (9, 10 and 14) washers (8), and a nut (13).
(f)
Install the lockwire on the bolts.

Apply a layer of primer to the faying surface between the motor and the power package.

Connect the electrical connector (11) to the motor.

For inboard drive motor part number 1176T100, do this task to service the motor: "Trailing Edge Flap Drive System Servicing" (AMM 12-13-13/301).
NOTE: It is not necessary to service the S256T004-14 alternate

drive motor.
F. Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:
(a)
P6, Main Power Distribution Panel
1) 6L20, TE FLAP ELEC CONT INBD
(b)
P415, Power Distribution Center-Right
1) 415A32, TE FLAP ELEC INBD

CAUTION: DO NOT OPERATE THE TRAILING EDGE FLAPS WITH ELECTRICAL POWER
_______ THROUGH MORE THAN ONE FULL EXTEND/RETRACT CYCLE IN A 25 MINUTE TIME. THERE WILL BE DAMAGE TO THE FLAP ELECTRIC MOTORS IF YOU OPERATE THEM TOO FREQUENTLY.

Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

Do a test of the flap alternate drive motor.
(a)
Push the ALTN FLAPS ARM switch to arm the alternate flap control system.
(b)
Turn the ALTN FLAPS switch to the EXT position. Make sure that the flaps extend.
(c)
Turn the ALTN FLAPS switch to the RET position. Make sure that the flaps retract.
(d)
Turn the ALTN FLAPS switch to the OFF position.
