THE ELEVATOR SURFACES BEFORE YOU MOVE THE STABILIZER. THE
STABILIZER AND THE ELEVATOR SURFACES CAN MOVE QUICKLY AND CAUSE
INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(5) Use the STAB TRIM ALTN switches to move the stabilizer until the "B" dimension is 17.59-17.63 inches.
NOTE: The "B" dimension is the distance along the ballscrew between
____ the surfaces of the ballnut and the ballscrew stops

Make sure the indication for the applicable transmitter on the EICAS flight controls maintenance page shows 4.49-4.51 degrees down.
(a)
If the indication is out of the tolerance, adjust the transmitter control rod: 1) Loosen the jamnut at the two ends of the applicable
transmitter control rod. 2) Adjust the control rod until the applicable EICAS
indication shows 4.49-4.51 degrees down. 3) Tighten the jamnut at the two ends of the control rod. 4) Make sure that the EICAS indication is in the tolerance.

1. General_______
A. There are four tasks in this procedure. The procedure has these parts:
(1)
The removal of the horizontal stabilizer position transmitter module
(2)
The installation of the replacement transmitter module
(3)
The adjustment of the transmitter module
(4)
The removal of the horizontal stabilizer position transmitter assembly
(5)
The installation of the replacement transmitter assembly
(6)
The adjustment of the transmitter assembly.
B.
The removal and installation procedure is the same for the left, the right or the center stabilizer position transmitter module.
