Do the control module adjustment/test (AMM 27-51-09/501).

Install the coverplate (17):
(a)
Apply a thin layer of grease to the gasket.
(b)
Put the coverplate in its position on the flap power package.
(c)
Install the 10 screws (18) to attach the coverplate.

Install the spring cover (16):
(a)
Put the spring cover into the hole.
(b)
Clean the spring cover with solvent.
(c)
Apply a bead of sealant around the edge of the cover.
(d)
Apply primer to the surface if it is necessary.

_______ THE LANDING GEAR DOORS. THE DOORS CAN CLOSE QUICKLY IF YOU DO NOT INSTALL THE DOOR LOCKS CORRECTLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

Install the door locks on the doors for the body landing gear (AMM 32-00-30/201).

Remove the Bypass Valve

Disconnect the bypass valve electrical connectors (3).

DV138 (Inboard Flap By-Pass Valve)

DV139 (Outboard Flap By-Pass Valve)

Remove the bypass valve:
(a)
Remove the screws (28) and washers (29).
(b)
Remove the bypass valve (4) from the flap control module (7).
(c)
Install a protective plug in the hole in the flap control module.
