INBOARD AFTFLAP - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. There are two tasks in this procedure. There is one task for the removal and one task for the installation of the inboard aftflap.
(1)
The removal procedure has these parts:
(a)
The extension of the trailing edge flaps
(b)
The installation of the support equipment
(c)
The removal of the aftflap.
(2)
The installation procedure has these parts:
(a)
A check of the parts which attach the aftflap for worn areas
(b)
The installation of the aftflap
(c)
The adjustment of the aftflap
(d)
The lubrication of the aftflap.
B.
You can remove and install an inboard aftflap, together with the midflap, or independently of the midflap.
C.
Some of the aftflap is finished with an abrasion resistant teflon layer. If repair to the teflon layer is necessary, see Abrasion Resistant Teflon Finish - Cleaning/Painting, 51-24-04.
