D. Procedure
S 424-011
(1)
Install the flap angle gearbox:
(a)
Put the gearbox in its position on the airplane.
(b)
Apply a layer of primer on the bolts.
(c)
Before the primer dries, install the bolts.
NOTE: If you will install the same gearbox, install the shims
____ with the same thickness as the shims you removed. If you will install a new gearbox, install shims to make the torque tubes aligned (Ref 27-51-20/401).
(d) Install the washers and nuts on the bolts.

Install the flap torque tubes (Ref 27-51-20/401).
(a)
Make sure that the torque tube moves freely.
(b)
Make sure that the end clearances are in the tolerance.

E. Put the Airplane Back To Its Usual Condition

(1) Pressurize hydraulic system No. 1 and 4 (Ref 29-11-00/201).

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE LE AND TE
_______ FLAPS AND FLAP DRIVE MECHANISMS BEFORE YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER. WITH HYDRAULIC POWER REMOVED, THE FLAPS WILL MOVE AUTOMATICALLY BY ELECTRICAL POWER WHEN YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER.
(2)
Put the flap control lever in the UP detent to retract the flaps.

Release the pressure in hydraulic systems No. 1 and 4
(Ref 29-11-00/201).

WARNING: CAREFULLY DO THE SPECIFIED TASK TO REMOVE THE DOOR LOCKS FROM
_______ THE LANDING GEAR DOORS. THE DOORS CAN CLOSE QUICKLY IF YOU DO NOT REMOVE THE DOOR LOCKS CORRECTLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(4) Remove the door locks from the doors for the body landing gear (Ref 32-00-30/201).

1. General
_______
A. There are two tasks in this procedure. There is one task for the removal and one task for the installation of an inboard flap inboard track. The procedure has these parts:
(1)
The removal of the inboard flap
(2)
The removal of the inboard foreflap carriage and toggle
(3)
The removal of the flap transmission and the ball screw
(4)
An inspection of the parts which attach the flap track for worn areas
(5)
The installation of the flap track
(6)
The lubrication of the flap track
(7)
The installation of the transmission and the ball screw
(8)
The installation of the foreflap carriage and toggle
(9)
The installation of the inboard flap.
