Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:

 (a)  
P7, Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
 1) 7E7, STAB TRIM L S/O VLV
 2) 7E20, STAB TRIM R S/O VLV

If the hydraulic power is not necessary, do this task: "Remove Hydraulic Power" (AMM 29-11-00/201).

Install the air blower and the hose to supply air to the stabilizer center section.

Adjust the Door Mechanism

 (1)  
Adjust the door mechanism:

 (a)  
Remove stabilizer blade seals.

 (b)  
Remove the shims from between the door and the drive fitting on the upper door. 1) Add the shims at this location only if it is necessary for

 the clearance.

 (c)  
The jackscrew must be free to travel the full distance between the jackscrew stops when you adjust the door mechanism.


 NOTE: Adjust the upper links with the stabilizer in the full
____ down position. Adjust the lower links with the stabilizer in the full up position.
 (d)  
Set the stabilizer B dimension.

 (e)  
Disconnect the mast-to-crank link.

 (f)  
Adjust the rod ends of the crank-to-door link.

 (g)  
Without a load on the door, set the door to align with the body at |0.08 inch (|2.0 millimeters).

 (h)  
Adjust the crank-to-door link until the link will just fit.

 (i)  
With the crank in the center position, turn the rod end of the crank-to-door link one to two turns to put a load on the door.

 (j)  
Adjust the rod ends of the crank-to-door link to make sure the rod ends move freely at the crank.


 NOTE: You can tell the rod ends move freely when you can turn
____ the links along the link axis for all crank positions.

 (k)  Connect the mast-to-crank links with the bolts, washers and nuts. 1) Adjust the mast-to-crank links to the limits in table II
 (Fig. 203). 2) Make sure the drain holes are pointed down. 3) Tighten the nuts to 20-25 pound-inches (2.3-2.8
 newton-meters).
