WARNING: OPEN THE CIRCUIT BREAKERS TO PREVENT RETRACTION OF THE
_______ SPOILERS. THE SPOILERS WILL RETRACT AUTOMATICALLY IF YOU USE THE SPEED BRAKE LEVER TO LIFT THE SPOILERS AND IF HYDRAULIC SYSTEM NO. 1 AND 4 ARE NOT PRESSURIZED. INJURY TO PERSONS CAN OCCUR IF THE SPOILERS RETRACT.

Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a)
P7, Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
1) 7G6, SPEED BRAKE AUTO CONTROL

Pressurize hydraulic systems No. 2, No. 3, and No. 4
(AMM 29-11-00/201).

Put the speed brake control lever in the UP detent to lift spoilers No. 1 thru 4 and 9 thru 12 above the outboard flaps.

Install the spoiler actuator locking tools or move the FLT CONTROL HYD POWER switches to SHUTOFF to make sure that the spoilers will not retract.

FLAPS AND FLAP DRIVE MECHANISMS BEFORE YOU MOVE THE FLAP
CONTROL LEVER. WHEN YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER WITH THE
HYDRAULIC SYSTEM PRESSURIZED, THE FLAPS AND FLAP DRIVE
MECHANISMS WILL MOVE QUICKLY. PERSONNEL CAN BE INJURED OR
EQUIPMENT DAMAGED.

Put the flap control lever in the 5-unit detent to extend flaps to the 5-unit position.

Push the ALTN FLAPS ARM switch to put the flaps in alternate control.

Remove the flap track fairing fixed and movable links at the aft end of the flap track (AMM 27-51-45/401).
NOTE: Do not remove the attachment fitting for the flap track
