D. Install the Transmitter Assembly

(1)
Install the transmitter assembly onto the shear deck.
(a)
Install four assembly mounting bolts and the washers.

(2)
Install the bolt, spacer, two washers, and nut to connect crank to the control rod.

Install the bonding jumper.

Install the electrical connector.

Adjust the Transmitter Assembly

Do this task: "Supply Electrical Power" (Ref 24-22-00/201).

Do this task: "Supply Hydraulic Power" (Ref 29-11-00/201).

Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:
(a)
P7, Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
1) 7E23, STAB TRIM ALTN CONT
2) 7E20, STAB TRIM R S/O VALVE

(4) Set the STAB TRIM 3 switch on the control stand to ON.

WARNING: MOVE ALL PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT AWAY FROM THE STABILIZER AND
_______ THE ELEVATOR SURFACES BEFORE YOU MOVE THE STABILIZER. THE STABILIZER AND THE ELEVATOR SURFACES CAN MOVE QUICKLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(5) Use the STAB TRIM ALTN switches to move the stabilizer until the "B" dimension is 17.59-17.63 inches.
NOTE: The "B" dimension is the distance along the ballscrew between
____ the surfaces of the ballnut and the ballscrew stops

(6) Set the STAB TRIM 3 switch to CUTOUT.

Adjust the transmitter control rod:
(a)
Loosen the jamnut at the two ends of the applicable transmitter control rod.
(b)
Adjust the control rod until the applicable indication on the EICAS flight controls maintenance page shows 4.49-4.51 degrees down.
(c)
Tighten the jamnut at the two ends of the control rod.
(d)
Make sure the EICAS indication is in the tolerance.

Close the 315A access door (AMM 06-09-05/201).
