 STABILIZER TRIM POSITION INDICATOR - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

 1.  General

 A.  There are two tasks in this procedure. There is one task each for the removal and the installation of the stabilizer trim position indicator (which is referred to as the "position indicator". The procedure has these parts:
 (1)  
The removal of the position indicator

 (2)  
The installation of the replacement indicator

 (3)  
The operational test of the stabilizer trim indicating system.

 B.  
The removal and installation procedure is the same for the left or the right position indicator.

Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:

 (a)  
P6, Main Power Distribution Panel
 1) 6K23, STAB TRIM POSN IND L
 2) 6K24, STAB TRIM POSN IND R

 (2)  
Remove the position indicator:

 (a)  
Remove four screws.

 (b)  
Lift the position indicator out of the mounting hole.

 (c)  
Disconnect the electrical connector DN312 (captain's) or DN311 (first officer's).

 (1)  
Install the position indicator in the control stand:

 (a)  
Connect the electrical connector DN312 (captain's) or DN311 (first officer's) to the indicator.
