Put the flap control lever in the 5-unit position to retract the flaps.

Do a test of the flap retraction sequence:
(a)
Make sure the flaps are in the 5-unit position.
(b)
Push the ALTN FLAPS ARM switch to arm the alternate control system.
(c)
Turn the ALTN FLAPS EXT/RET switch to the RET position to retract the flaps. 1) Make sure the TE flaps are fully retracted before the LE
flaps start to retract.
(d)
Turn the ALTN FLAPS EXT/RET switch to the OFF position.
(e)
Put the flap control lever in the UP detent.
(f)
Push the ALTN FLAPS ARM switch to disarm the alternate control system.
F.
Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

Remove electrical power (Ref 24-22-00/201).

1. General_______
A. There are two tasks in this procedure. There is one task for the removal and one task for the installation of the flap hydraulic drive motor. The procedure has these parts:
(1)
The removal of the hydraulic lines
(2)
The removal of the drive motor
(3)
The installation of the drive motor
(4)
The installation of the hydraulic lines.
B.
To replace the flap hydraulic drive motor it is not necessary to remove the flap drive power package.

_______ THE LANDING GEAR DOORS. THE DOORS CAN CLOSE QUICKLY IF YOU DO NOT INSTALL THE DOOR LOCKS CORRECTLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

Install the door locks on the doors for the body landing gear (Ref 32-00-30/201).

Remove the Drive Motor
