Move the flap control lever to the 5-unit detent. 1) Make sure that the group B leading edge flaps (the 6 outboard LE flaps on each wing) extend.

 2)  Make sure that the TE flaps extend to the 5-unit position on the FLAPS display.

 (d)  
Move the flap control lever to the 10-unit detent.

 1)  Make sure that the TE flaps extend to the 10-unit position on the FLAPS display.

 (e)  
Move the flap control lever to the 20-unit detent.

 1)  Make sure that the TE flaps extend to the 20-unit position on the FLAPS display.

 (f)  
Move the flap control lever to the 25-unit detent.

 1)  Make sure that the TE flaps extend to the 25-unit position on the FLAPS display.

 (g)  
Move the flap control lever to the 30-unit detent. 1) Make sure that the TE flaps extend to the 30-unit position on the FLAPS display.

 2)  Make sure that the ball screw nut stop does not touch the ball screw stop with the flaps down.

 (h)  
Move the flap control lever to the 1-unit detent. 1) Make sure that the trailing edge flaps retract fully on the FLAPS display.

 2)  Make sure that the group B LE flaps start to retract when the TE flaps move to less than the 4.5-unit position.

 (i)  
Move the flap control lever to the UP detent. 1) Make sure that the group A LE flaps retract. 2) Make sure that the ball screw nut stop does not touch the


 universal joint stop with the flaps up.

 Do a test of the trailing edge flap operation time:

 (a)
Do this task to pressurize hydraulic systems No. 1 and 4: "Hydraulic System Pressurization" (Ref 29-11-00/201).


 NOTE: A minimum of 35 gpm (130 liters per minute) for the
____ inboard flap power package and 25 gpm (95 liters per minute) for the outboard flap power package is necessary for this test.

Move the flap control lever from the UP detent to the 30-unit detent.

 (c)  
Make sure that the time for the flaps to extend to the 30 unit position is 40 to 55 seconds.

 (d)  
Make sure that the time difference between the inboard and outboard flaps is not more than 10 seconds.

 (e)  
Move the flap control lever from the 30 unit detent to the UP detent.

 (f)  
Make sure that the time necessary for the flaps to retract is 40 to 55 seconds.

 (g)  
Make sure that the time difference between the inboard and outboard flaps is not more than 10 seconds.

 Make sure that the TE flaps operate in the primary electric mode:

 (a)
Make sure that the flap control lever is in the UP detent.

 (b)  
Move the flap control lever to the 1-unit detent. 1) Make sure that the multiple flap primary FLAPS display shows on the EICAS.

 2)  Make sure that the group A leading edge flaps (the 8 inboard LE flaps on each wing) extend.

 (c)  
Move the flap control lever to the 5-unit detent. 1) Make sure that the group B leading edge flaps (the 6 outboard LE flaps on each wing) extend. 2) Make sure that the TE flaps extend to the 5-unit position on the FLAPS display.


 3)  Make sure that the flap bypass valve lever moves from position 2 to position 1.
