NOSE GEAR PRESSURE SWITCH - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. There are three tasks in this procedure. The first task locks out the nose landing gear and doors while working in the NLG area. The other tasks are for the removal and the installation of the nose gear pressure switch (which is referred to as the "pressure switch"). The procedure has these parts:
(1)
The installation of the ground locks on the landing gear and the door locks on the nose gear.
(2)
The removal of the pressure switch.
(3)
The installation of the replacement pressure switch.

(1) Make sure you install the landing gear ground locks. (Ref 09-11-00/201).

WARNING: YOU MUST CAREFULLY DO THE STEPS IN THE TASK BELOW TO INSTALL
_______ THE DOOR LOCKS ON THE LANDING GEAR DOORS. THE DOORS CAN CLOSE QUICKLY IF YOU DO NOT INSTALL THE DOOR LOCKS CORRECTLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

Do this task: "Installation of the Door Locks on the Nose Landing Gear" (Ref 32-00-30/201).

Remove the pressure switch:
(a)
Turn the shutoff valve handle clockwise to the fully closed position.

Install rig pin G12001-10 to hold it in the closed position.

Disconnect the electrical connector DS113.

Remove the sealing compound from around the switch.
