Make sure that the flaps do not extend.

Move the flap control lever to the 10-unit detent.

Decrease the hydraulic pressure to 1000 psi (6.9 megapascal).

 (b)  
If the two hydraulic systems No. 1 and No. 4 are pressurized, do the steps that follow: 1) Make sure the EICAS messages are not shown. 2) Move the flap control lever to the 20-unit detent. 3) Make sure that the flaps extend to 20-units. 4) Put the flap control lever in the UP detent to retract the

 leading edge and trailing edge flaps.

 (c)  
If one hydraulic system (No. 1 or No. 4) is pressurized, do the steps that follow:


 NOTE: The EICAS messages FLAPS PRIMARY and FLAPS DRIVE can
____
 be displayed.

 Hydraulic system No. 1 pressurizes the inboard flaps. Hydraulic system No. 4 pressurizes the outboard flaps.
 1) Move the flap control lever to the 20-unit detent. 2) Visually make sure the flaps extend to 20-units.
 NOTE: When only one hydraulic system is pressurized,
____ you cannot use the EICAS messages to verify the flaps extend hydraulically. You must do a visual check to make sure the flaps extend.
 3)  Put the flap control lever in the up detent to retract the leading edge and trailing edge flaps.

Release the pressure in the hydraulic system (AMM 29-11-00/201).

Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:

 (a)  
P415, Right Power Distribution Panel
 1) 415A32, TE FLAP ELEC INBD
 2) 415M38, TE FLAP ELEC OTBD

Remove the electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

 FLAP CONTROL MODULE - INSPECTION/CHECK

 1.  General

 A.  There is one task in this procedure, an inspection/check of the flap control module.
 B.  In this procedure you measure the dimensions of the bearing, bushing and bolt (Fig. 601).
 C.  To do the check, you must remove and disassemble the flap control module.

Micrometer, to measure inner and outer dimensions.

 S 026-002
 (1)  
Remove the flap control module (Ref 27-51-10/201).

 S 226-003

 (2)  
Do an inspection of the flap control module (Fig. 601):

 (a)  
Remove the parts.

 (b)  
Measure the parts.

 (c)  
Compare the dimensions with the permitted dimensions shown in Fig. 601.

 (d)  
Replace the parts that are out of the tolerance.

 (e)  
Install the parts.

 (3)  
Install the flap control module (Ref 27-51-10/201).
