Install the nut. 1) Tighten the nut to 10-15 pound-inches (1.1-1.7 N-m).

Reconnect the torque tubes to the flap power package.

 (h)  
If you removed the Inboard PDU Alt Motor, install it
 (AMM 27-51-17/401).


 (i)  
Install the protective cover (nut). 1) Tighten the nut to 250-500 pound-inches (28-56 N-m).

 (j)  
Install the cotter pin.

 (3)  Do the flap power package adjustment (AMM 27-51-09/501).

 WARNING:  CAREFULLY DO THE SPECIFIED TASK TO REMOVE THE DOOR LOCKS FROM THE LANDING GEAR DOORS. THE DOORS CAN CLOSE QUICKLY IF YOU DO NOT REMOVE THE DOOR LOCKS CORRECTLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (4)  Remove the door locks from the doors for the body landing gear (AMM 32-00-30/201).

 FLAP CONTROL MODULE - MAINTENANCE PRACTICES

 1.  General_______
 A.  There are 11 tasks in this procedure. There are tasks for the removal and the installation of the flap control module components. The components include the flap control module, bypass valve, bypass valve motor, check valve and the priority valve flow control cartridge. There is also a task for the operational test of the priority valve.
 B.  The flap control module on each flap power package is installed in the body gear wheel well. The control module gets and controls the hydraulic fluid flow to the hydraulic motor. The control module includes a check valve, a control valve and a motor-operated bypass valve. The bypass valve can be replaced with the fittings connected. The check valve can be removed only after the hydraulic return lines are disconnected. You must remove the flap control module before you remove the control valve.

Make sure that the landing gear ground locks are installed.

Disconnect the electrical connectors (3) from the bypass valve.
