 (1)  
Open the access doors 312A and 315A (AMM 06-09-05/201).

Install the air blower and the hose to supply air to the stabilizer center section.

 (3)
Do this task: "Supply Hydraulic Power" (AMM 29-11-00/201).

 WARNING:_______ MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE
 HORIZONTAL STABILIZER CONTROL SURFACES BEFORE YOU MOVE THE
 STABILIZER.  A MOVEMENT OF THE STABILIZER CAN CAUSE INJURY TO

 PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (4)  
Move the stabilizer between the jackscrew stops.

 (a)  
Make sure that the links move freely.

 (b)  
Make sure the minimum clearance between the doors and the horizontal stabilizer is 0.25 inch (6.4 millimeters) during the stabilizer movement.

 (5)  The doors must be at the body contour (closed) |0.08 inch
 (2.0 millimeters)(Fig. 204).
 NOTE: When the stabilizer moves farther than the flight controls
____ limit switch, the lower stabilizer surface is permitted to contact and deflect the lower door when the units of trim is between 14.0 and 15.0.
 (a)  If the doors do not stay at the body contour, do this task: "Adjustment - Horizontal Stabilizer Body Seal Door Mechanism" (Ref paragraph 6.).

If the hydraulic power is not necessary, do this task: "Remove Hydraulic Power" (AMM 29-11-00/201).

Remove the air blower and the hoses.

 (8)  
Close the access doors 312A and 315A (AMM 06-09-05/201).

 HORIZONTAL STABILIZER BODY SEAL DOOR - INSPECTION/CHECK

 1.  General_______
 A.  This procedure has one task. The task is an inspection of the horizontal stabilizer body seal door.
 B.  In this procedure you measure the inner or outer diameter of the parts which attach the drive rods and the body seal door mechanism. The parts include bearings, bushings, bolts and rod ends.
