Access

 (1)  
Location Zone 222 Control Cabin, RH 117 Electrical and Electronics Compartment - P414 Left


 Power Distribution Center 118 Electrical and Electronics Compartment - P415 Right Power Distribution Center
 C. Deactivate the Inboard Trailing Edge Flaps
 S 862-073
 (1)  
Do this task to depressurize hydraulic system No. 1: "Hydraulic System Depressurization" (AMM 29-11-00/201).

 (2)  
Push the ALT FLAPS ARM switch on the pilots' center instrument panel to the ALTN position. Make sure the FLAPS CONTROL EICAS message displays.

 (3)  
Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:

 (a)  
On the Main Power Distribution Panel, P6:
 1) 6E1, PRI TE FLAP CONT AC
 2) 6E2, PRI TE FLAP CONT DC
 3) 6L20, TE FLAP ELEC CONT INBD


 (b)  
On the Right Power Distribution Center, P415: 1) 415A32, TE FLAP ELEC INBD

 (4)  
Install Bypass Valve Lock.

 (a)  
Remove the Inboard bypass valve connectors. 1) DM625 (Alternate Inboard Flap Motor connector) 2) DV138 (Inboard Bypass Valve Connector)

 (b)  
Move inboard Bypass Valve manual override Lever to position 1 (bypass position).

 CAUTION: THE BYPASS VALVE LOCK AND ALT MOTOR BLANKING PLUGS MUST BE
_______ INSTALLED TOGETHER. IF THE BLANKING PLUGS ARE NOT USED WHEN THE BYPASS LOCK IS ON AND THE FLAP LEVER IS MOVED DAMAGE COULD OCCUR TO EQUIPMENT.
 (c)  
Install Bypass Valve Lock on valve motor/lever assembly and tighten thumbscrew on tool.

 (d)  
Install blanking plugs on Bypass Valve connector and alternate motor connector.

 D.
Deactivate the Outboard Trailing Edge Flaps

Remove the Outboard bypass valve connectors. 1) DM622 (Alternate Outboard Flap Motor connector) 2) DV139 (Outboard Bypass Valve Connector)

 (b)  
Move Outboard Bypass Valve manual override Lever to position 1 (bypass position).

 (c)  
Install Bypass Valve Lock on valve motor/lever assembly and tighten thumbscrew on tool.
