Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:

 (a)  
P7, Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
 1) 7E6, STAB TRIM L CONT
 2) 7E7, STAB TRIM L S/O VLV
 3) 7E8, STAB TRIM L RATE
 4) 7E19, STAB TRIM R CONT
 5) 7E20, STAB TRIM R S/O VLV
 6) 7E21, STAB TRIM R RATE

Do a Test of the Stabilizer Trim Switch

 (1)  
Do this task: "Supply Electrical Power" (AMM 24-22-00/201).

 (2)
Move the control wheel through five cycles of the full travel.

Make sure the movement does not cause damage to the switch wire.

Do this test of the stabilizer trim switch:

 (a)  
Push the key for EXISTING FAULTS on the CMC menu.

 (b)  
Push the key for <27 FLIGHT CONTROLS on the existing faults menu.

 (c)  
Make sure that these indications do not show on the CDU: 1) Elec Thumb Switch Input Fail (SRM-L) 2) Elec Thumb Switch Input Fail (SRM-R)

 (d)  
Hold the STAB TRIM switches to the NOSE UP position for 5 seconds.

 (e)  
Push the key for <27 FLIGHT CONTROLS on the existing faults menu.

 (f)  
Make sure that these indications do not show on the CDU: 1) Elec Thumb Switch Input Fail (SRM-L) 2) Elec Thumb Switch Input Fail (SRM-R)

 (g)  
Hold the STAB TRIM switches to the NOSE DN position for 5 seconds.

 (h)  
Push the key for <27 FLIGHT CONTROLS on the existing faults menu.

 (i)  
Make sure that these indications do not show on the CDU: 1) Elec Thumb Switch Input Fail (SRM-L) 2) Elec Thumb Switch Input Fail (SRM-R)

 WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF ALL CONTROL
_______ SURFACES BEFORE YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. AILERONS, RUDDERS, ELEVATORS, FLAPS, SPOILERS, LANDING GEAR, AND THRUST REVERSERS CAN MOVE QUICKLY WHEN YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (5)  
Do this task to pressurize the hydraulic systems No. 2 or No. 3: "Supply Hydraulic Power" (AMM 29-11-00/201).

 (6)  
Use the STAB TRIM switches on the captain's control wheel to move the stabilizers:

 (a)  
Make sure the stabilizer leading edge moves down when you push the STAB TRIM switch to the NOSE UP position.

 (b)  
Make sure the stabilizer leading edge moves up when you push the STAB TRIM switch to the NOSE DN position.

 (7)  If the hydraulic power is not necessary, do this task: "Remove Hydraulic Power" (AMM 29-11-00/201).
