1) Make sure that the TE flaps extend to the 10-unit position on the FLAPS display.
(e)
Move the flap control lever to the 20-unit detent.
1) Make sure that the TE flaps extend to the 20-unit position on the FLAPS display.
(f)
Move the flap control lever to the 25-unit detent.
1) Make sure that the TE flaps extend to the 25-unit position on the FLAPS display.
(g)
Move the flap control lever to the 30-unit detent.
1) Make sure that the TE flaps extend to the 30-unit position on the FLAPS display.
(h)
Stop for 5 minutes to let the electric drive motors become cool.
(i)
Move the flap control lever to the 1-unit detent. 1) Make sure that the trailing edge flaps retract fully on the FLAPS display.
2) Make sure that the group B LE flaps start to move when the TE flaps move to less than the 4.5-unit position.
(j)
Move the flap control lever to the UP detent. 1) Make sure that the group A LE flaps retract.

Make sure that the TE flaps operate in the alternate electric mode:
(a)
Push the ALTN FLAPS ARM switch to the ALTN position. Make sure that the multiple flap alternate FLAPS display shows on the EICAS.
(b)
Move the flap control lever from the UP detent to the 30-unit detent and make sure that the flaps do not move.
(c) Put the flap control lever in the UP detent.
(d) Extend the flaps:
1) Turn the ALTN FLAPS EXT/RET switch to EXT. Make sure that
the flaps start to extend.

2) When EICAS shows 5-units of extension, turn the ALTN FLAPS
EXT/RET switch to OFF. Make sure that the flaps stop. 3) Turn the ALTN FLAPS EXT/RET switch to the EXT position. 4) Make sure that the inboard TE flaps extend to 23.5 - 26.5
units and stop.
NOTE: There can be some coasting on the inboard TE
____
flaps at the 25 unit position.
5) Make sure that the outboard TE flaps extend to 23.5 - 26.5
units and stop. 6) Turn the ALTN FLAPS EXT/RET switch to the OFF position. 7) Stop for 5 minutes to let the electric drive motors become
cool.
(e) Retract the flaps: 1) Turn the ALTN FLAPS EXT/RET switch to the RET position. 2) Make sure that the TE flaps fully retract. 3) Turn the ALTN FLAPS EXT/RET switch to the OFF position.

_______ AND TE FLAPS AND FLAP DRIVE MECHANISMS. THE TE AND LE FLAPS WILL MOVE TO AGREE WITH THE CONTROL LEVER POSITION WHEN ALTERNATE CONTROL IS DISARMED. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(f) Push the ALTN FLAPS ARM switch to the off position.
CAUTION: DO NOT OPERATE THE TRAILING EDGE FLAPS WITH ELECTRICAL
_______ POWER THROUGH MORE THAN ONE FULL EXTEND/RETRACT CYCLE IN A 25-MINUTE TIME. THERE WILL BE DAMAGE TO THE FLAP ELECTRIC MOTORS IF YOU OPERATE THEM TOO FREQUENTLY.
(g) Find the time necessary for electric flap operation: 1) Stop for 25 minutes to let the electric motors become cool. 2) Push the ALTN FLAPS ARM switch to the ARM position. 3) Turn the ALTN FLAPS EXT/RET switch to the EXT position. 4) Make sure that time for the TE flaps to extend is a maximum
of 360 seconds (6 minutes). 5) Stop for 5 minutes. 6) Turn the ALTN FLAPS EXT/RET switch to the RET position. 7) Make sure that the time necessary for the TE flaps to
retract is a maximum of 360 seconds (6 minutes).
