AIRPLANES LINE NUMBER 1535 AND ON; Install the sleeve plug: 1) Remove the sleeve plug from the deactivation kit in the
flyaway kit. 2) Install the sleeve plug in the sleeve. a) Tighten the sleeve plug to 400 pound-inches (45 Newton meters). 3) Put the secondary deactivation pin in the deactivation kit in the flyaway kit.
(d)
Remove the access panel from the sleeve.
(e)
Loosen the retainers on the indicator pins.
(f)
Remove the indicator pins, and the deactivation turnbuckle.
(g)
AIRPLANES BEFORE LINE NUMBER 1535; Keep the deactivation turnbuckle, indicator pins, retainers, and retainer bolts: 1) Put an indicator pin on the cascade support ring. 2) Put the the other indicator pin on the sleeve fitting. 3) Attach each pin with a retainer and a retainer bolt. 4) Install the lockwire to the retainer bolts. 5) Put the deactivation turnbuckle on the access panel. 6) Install the lockwire from the deactivation turnbuckle to
the stowage bracket.
7) Install the rubber plug in the access panel.
8) Install the access panel on the sleeve.
a) Tighten the access panel fasteners to 45 to 55 pound-inches (5.1 to 6.2 Newton meters).
(h) AIRPLANES LINE NUMBER 1535 AND ON; Put the deactivation turnbuckle, indicator pins, retainers, and retainer bolts in the deactivation kit in the flyaway kit. 1) Remove the rubber plug from the deactivation kit in the
flyaway kit.
2) Install the rubber plug in the access panel.
3) Install the access panel on the sleeve.
a) Tighten the access panel fasteners to 45 to 55 pound-inches (5.1 to 6.2 Newton meters).

(5) Install the lamps to the thrust reverser indication and fault lights. (a) On the center instrument panel, remove the INOP placard that is adjacent to the REVERSER UNLOCKED indicator light. (b) On the center instrument panel, install the lamp to the applicable REVERSER UNLOCKED indication light (AMM 33-11-81/201). (c) On the aft overhead panel, install the lamp to the applicable REVERSER fault light (AMM 33-11-81/201).
