 (15) Remove these items at the aft hinge fitting (View E, Fig. 402) as follows:
 NOTE:____ Keep the forward and aft halves of the slider together as a
 set.  The slider halves must be examined for wear before you
 install them again.  The minimum distance between the curved
 surfaces of the hinge slider is 0.978 inch (24.84 mm).
 NOTE:____ If you install the same thrust reverser again, measure
 the distance between the inner curved surfaces of the hinge
 track fitting.  The maximum permitted distance between the
 curved surfaces is 1.067 inches (27.10 mm), (Fig. 402, sheet
 6).  The maximum permitted gap between the hinge slider and

 the hinge track is 0.067 inch (1.70 mm).
 (a)  
Remove the forward half of the slider.

 (b)  
Remove the aft half of the slider with the eccentric pins attached.

 (16) Apply masking tape along the seal segments on the primary sleeve assembly.

 CAUTION: MAKE SURE THERE IS PROPER CLEARANCE BETWEEN THE THRUST REVERSER
_______ AND THE SEAL SEGMENTS OF THE PRIMARY SLEEVE ASSEMBLY WHEN YOU CLOSE THE THRUST REVERSER HALF. DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.

 Disconnect the opening actuator of the thrust reverser from the upper attach fitting on the reverser (View B, Fig. 402).

 Secure the upper end of the opening actuator to the engine with string to make sure it is clear of the thrust reverser.
