 C. Install the feedback push-pull cable.

 (1)  Do these steps to install the cable (Fig. 201):
 (a)  Remove all of the remaining sealant around the opening in the strut midspar web for the cable penetration fitting (View B).

(b)  
From the access panel at the strut drum control box (View D), put the cable forward through the nacelle strut. 1) Put the cable down through the hole in the midspar web to

 the upper (locking) actuator (View C) on the thrust reverser.

 (c)  
Connect the cable core to the strut drum control box rack.

 (d)  
Install the disconnect clamp.

 (e)  
Install the lockwire to the clamp screws.

 (f)  
Attach the cable penetration fitting (View B) to the strut midspar web.

 (g)  
Put the feedback, thrust control, and start control cables in the clamp blocks (View A).


 NOTE: On engine No. 1, install the cables through the
____ lower pair of holes in the clamp blocks. On engine No. 2, install the cables through the top pair of holes.
 1)  Install the clamp block fasteners.
 2)  Adjust all of the cables for the correct position in the clamp blocks.
 3)  Tighten the clamp block fasteners.
 (h)  
ON ENGINE NO. 2; attach the cable to the bracket with a clamp that is forward of the strut drum control box.

 (i)  
Put the telescopic unit in the support bracket (View C) on the torque box of the thrust reverser. 1) Attach the unit with a jamnut and washer on the two sides

 of the bracket flange.
 2) Do not install the lockwire on the jamnuts.


 (j)  
Install the rod end with the checknut on the lower end of the cable.


 NOTE: Do not connect the cable to the actuator bellcrank.

 (k)  Apply the sealant as follows:
 1)  Make a fillet seal around the joint between the penetration fitting and the strut midspar web.

2) Put the sealant on the penetration fitting fasteners on the bottom of the strut spar web. 3) Apply the sealant around the joint between the cable and the penetration fitting, after you adjust the cable.
