 (5)  Do these steps to remove the cable (Fig. 201):
 (a)  
Disconnect the cable from the bellcrank on the upper (locking) actuator of the thrust reverser (View C).

 (b)  
Remove the rod end from the lower end of the cable.

 (c)  
Loosen the jamnuts.

 (d)  
Release the cable from the support bracket on the torque box of the thrust reverser.

 (e)  
Remove the jamnuts and washers from the cable telescopic unit.

 (f)  
Disassemble the clamp blocks in the strut structure (View A), if it is necessary to release the cable.

(g)  
On engine No. 2, remove the clamp from the cable that are forward of the strut drum control box.

 (h)  
Remove the penetration fitting (View B) from the strut midspar web.

 (i)  
Remove the disconnect clamp (View D) at the connection to the strut drum control box.

 (j)  
Disengage the core of the cable from the control box rack.

 (k)  
Remove the cable from the strut through the access panel opening at the strut drum control box.
