CAUTION: WHEN YOU CLOSE THE LEFT HAND THRUST REVERSER HALF, MAKE SURE
_______ YOU HAVE ADEQUATE CLEARANCE BETWEEN THE MAIN ENGINE CONTROL BOX (MEC), THE THRUST REVERSER INNER VEE BAND, AND THE FAIRLEAD BRACKET FOR THE ACTUATOR HYDRAULIC TUBES AT APPROXIMATELY NAC WL 85. THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT.

Install the hinge slider at the aft hinge fitting (View E, Fig. 402) as follows:
NOTE: Make sure the hinge slider halves and the hinge track fitting
____ are in the permitted wear limits (Fig. 402, sheet 6). The distance between the curved surfaces of the hinge slider must not be less than 0.978 inch (24.84 mm). The distance between the inner curved surfaces of the hinge track fitting must not be more than 1.067 inches (27.10 mm). The maximum permitted gap between the hinge slider and the hinge track is 0.067 inch (1.70 mm).
(a)
If necessary, assemble the slider aft half and the two
eccentric pins with nuts and washers.
(b)
Make sure you install the eccentric lobes on the eccentric pins (View E, Fig. 402) as follows: 1) The top lobe must point to the 3 o'clock position. 2) The bottom lobe must point to the 9 o'clock position.
(c)
Install this assembly through the hinge fitting from the aft
side.
