 ú  (c)  Supply the electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201) if not already

 ú  (d)  For engine No. 1, remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tag and close this

ú (e) For engine No. 2, remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tag and close this ú circuit breaker: ú 1) P6-2 Load Control Center ú a) ENG 2 SYNC LOCK ú b) ENG 2 SYNC LOCK-ALTN ú (f) Slowly move the No. 1 or 2 reverse thrust lever up and aft to ú the extended position to unlock the sync lock. ú         ú
CAUTION:_______DO NOT USE AN EXTENSION BAR OR OTHER TOOLS TO MOVE THE ú UNLOCK HANDLE. IF YOU USE AN EXTENTION BAR OR OTHER ú TOOLS, DAMAGE TO THE UNLOCK HANDLE OR ACTUATOR CAN OCCUR. ú ú (g) Move the manual unlock handle forward. ú         ú
NOTE:____The sleeve will move out of the stowed position. ú ú (h) Slowly move the No. 1 or 2 reverse thrust lever down and ú forward to the extended position to unlock the sync lock. ú         ú
NOTE:____Wait two minutes for the sync lock to lock after the ú lever is in the retracted position. ú ú (i) Engage a werench in the manual drive of the sync lock. ú         ú
NOTE:____You can use a pneumatic ratchet wrench with a 3/8-inch ú square drive or a speed wrench. ú ú         ú
CAUTION:_______MAKE SURE THAT THE SQUARE DRIVE FULLY ENGAGES THE SYNC ú LOCK BEFORE YOU TRY TO EXTEND THE THRUST REVERSER. DO NOT ú USE FORCE TO ENGAGE THE SYNC LOCK SQUARE DRIVE. MAKE SURE ú THAT THE MANUAL DRIVE STAYS FULLY ENGAGED WHILE YOU ú OPERATE THE SQUARE DRIVE. IF YOU TRY TO EXTEND THE THRUST ú REVERSER WITH THE SYNC LOCK PARTIALLY TO ENGAGED OR TRY TO ú FORCE THE SQUARE DRIVE TO ENGAGE, YOU WILL DAMAGE THE SYNC ú LOCK. ú

ú  (j) Do these steps to engage the manual drive:
 ú  1) Put a 5/8-inch open end wrench on the manual drive nut.
 ú  2) Push the 3/8-inch square drive in and gently turn the
 ú  5/8-inch wrench a small amount in one direction or the
 ú  other to fully engage the manual drive.
 ú  3) Hold the 3/8-inch square drive in when you turn the manual
 ú  drive.
 ú  (k) For the sleeve on the left side of the engine, turn the wrench
 ú  clockwise (viewed from above).
 ú  (l) For the sleeve on the right side of the engine, turn the wrench
 ú  counterclockwise (viewed from above).
 ú  (m) Extend the sleeve 0.20-0.60 inch (5.0-15.0 mm) aft of the fully
 ú  retracted position.
 ú  (n) Remove the wrench from the manual drive.

 (5)  Deactivate the thrust reverser for flight dispatch (Fig. 901).
 (a) Use a wrench with a 3/8-inch square drive to remove the sleeve
 plug from the translating sleeve.
 (b) Remove the access panel from the sleeve.
 (c) AIRPLANES BEFORE LINE NUMBER 1535;
 Get the deactivation turnbuckle, deactivation and indicator
