Open the fan cowl panels (AMM 71-11-02/201).

At each of the thrust reverser upper (locking) actuators (Fig. 202), disconnect the feedback push-pull cable rod end from the bellcrank.
(a) Extend each cable to the limit of travel.
NOTE: This sets the reverser feedback cams in the strut
____ drum control box to the reverser-extended position which will permit full travel of the reverse thrust lever.

Attach a protractor to the applicable reverse thrust lever (Fig. 203).

Adjust the protractor to read zero degrees with the reverse thrust lever fully forward and down (retracted position).

Open the access door No. 1103 for the lower nose compartment (AMM 12-31-11/201).

Go into the lower nose compartment to get access to the control stand.
(a) Disconnect the plugs from the electrical connectors D5148 and D5150 at the control stand (Fig. 204).

(8) Connect the ohmmeter across the receptacle pins as follows:
(a) With the reverse thrust levers fully forward and down in the
retracted position, the ohmmeter will show an open or closed
circuit.

(9) With the related forward thrust lever at the idle position, rotate the reverse thrust lever up and aft to 40 degrees reverse lever angle (RLA), as indicated by the protractor.
(a) Check across the pins for an open or closed circuit as follows:

Eng 2 Arm Switch S826 D5148J Pin 1 to Pin 2 - Open Pin 1 to Pin 3 - Closed Pin 2 to Pin 3 - Open
Eng 1 Stow Switch S825 D5150J Pin 4 to Pin 5 - Open Pin 4 to Pin 6 - Closed Pin 5 to Pin 6 - Open
Eng 2 Stow Switch S827 D5150J Pin 1 to Pin 2 - Open Pin 1 to Pin 3 - Closed Pin 2 to Pin 3 - Open

(10) Move the reverse thrust lever slowly toward the retracted position and monitor the switch plunger (not the actuator).
(a)
Make sure that the plunger travel before the switch actuates is approximately 0.02 inches (0.5 mm) minimum.
(b)
Make sure that the plunger travel after the switch actuates is also 0.02 inches (0.5 mm) minimum.
NOTE: Too little travel may cause intermittent switch
____
operation.
(c) If the total switch plunger travel needs to be increased, adjust the switches S814, S815, S822 and S823 toward the 32-degree thrust lever angle limit (AMM 31-26-00/501).
