(9) Disconnect the hydraulic lines from the valve module.
(a) Install caps on the lines.

(a)
Remove the unions and packings from the RET and DE ports to use on the replacement module.
(b)
NEW REPLACEMENT CONTROL VALVE MODULES THAT DO NOT HAVE A RESTRICTOR CHECK VALVE; Remove the restrictor check valve from the ST port to use on the replacement module.

(14) If you are to re-install the same control valve module on this aircraft, then do the steps that follow to clean the filter:
NOTE: A new control valve module will have a new filter installed

as part of the kit.
(a)
Remove the reducer from the PRESS port.
(b)
Remove the packing and discard it.
(c)
Remove the filter screen from the manifold PRESS port.
(d)
Do a check of the filter screen for broken strands and cracks. 1) Replace the filter, if damage is found.

_______ FREON, PERCHLOROETHYLENE, TRICHLOROETHYLENE, CARBON TETRACHLORIDE, ETC. THESE CHEMICALS SOLVENTS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE PARTS.
(e)
Clean the filter screen in solvent.
(f)
Flush the filter screen with isopropyl alcohol.
(g)
Dry the filter screen with compressed air.
