Remove the skirt fairing from the sleeve.

Attach the remove-and-install tool (C78009-1) to the sleeve with the straps (Fig. 402).

Remove the bolts and washers that connect the sleeve to the rear flange of the turbine frame.

When it is necessary, move the sleeve aft to be clear of the exhaust plug before you lower the sleeve.

If you installed the skirt fairing, remove it from the sleeve.
S 434-010-C00
(2)
Attach the remove-and-install tool to the sleeve with the straps (Fig. 402).

Lift the sleeve and do the steps that follow:
(a)
Align the largest opening in the mounting ring of the sleeve with the locating pin.
(b)
Install the locating pin at the 12:00 o'clock position, approximately, on the rear flange of the turbine frame.

(4) Attach the sleeve with the bolts and washers.
(a)
Lubricate bolt threads and shank with antiseize compound.
(b)
Tighten the bolts 70-80 pound-inches (8-9 Newton meters).

(5) S 434-013-C00Remove the remove-and-install tool from the sleeve.
(6) S 434-014-C00Install the skirt fairing as follows: (a) Loosely install all the screws to the fairing. (b) Tighten the screws to 17 pound-inches (2 Newton meters).
