(j)  Fully retract the actuator [195A] and install the rig pin.
 (k)  Install the free end of the rod [65] into the clevis of the
 actuator [195A].
 (l)  Install the lock tab [10] and one washer [20] on the bolt [15].
 (m)  Insert the bolt [15] through the actuator clevis from the
 bushing [40] side, then install the bushing [35] and the
 remaining washer [20].
 (n)  Install the nut [25] and tighten to 50-90 pound inches.
 (o)  Crimp the ears of the lock tab [10] around the actuator clevis
 and make sure the ears of the lock tab do not interfere with
 the rod [65].
 (p)  Rotate the bolt [15] to locate the remaining ear of the lock
 tab [10] parallel to the flat and then crimp the ear over the
 bolt head.
 (q)  Retighten the screws [180] to 27-33 pound inches and lockwire.
 (r)  Remove the bolt [105], washers [110], and bushing [120].
 (s)  Move the bellcrank assembly [125] away from the fitting [190].
 (t)  Install the leaf spring on fitting [190] with washers [175],
 screws [170].
 NOTE: Leaf spring [160] is used on left half actuators (part____
 number 315A1846-1).
 Leaf spring [165] is used on right half actuators (part
 number 315A1846-2).
 (u)  Tighten screws [170] to 18-22 pound inches and install
 lockwire.
 (v)  Make sure that the spring does not interfere with the housing
 of the actuator.
 (w)  Remove the rig pin from the actuator.
 (x)  Extend the acutator to approximately the mid-stroke position.
 (y)  Move the bellcrank assembly [125] back onto the fitting [190].
 (z)  Install the bushing [120], bolt [105], washers [110] through
 the fitting [190] from the underside.

(aa) Check that the leaf spring engages the bellcrank and secure fasteners with collar [115].
 (ab) Put the new number on the new left half or right half locking actuator.
 (ac) Do the adjustment/test procedure for the actuator assembly (AMM 78-31-03/501).

 (2)  If necessary, change a left half (LH) locking actuator into a right half (RH) locking actuator or a RH locking actuator into a LH locking actuator.
 NOTE: The differences between a LH locking actuator and a RH
____ locking actuator are the leaf spring part numbers and the installed position of the fitting [190], the leaf spring, and the bellcrank assembly [125].
 When you are finished with the change and buildup, the locking actuator part number will be changed to a new part number for either the left half (LH) or the right half (RH).
 (a)  
If not already done, remove the locking actuator
 (AMM 78-31-03/401).
