(1) If not already done, do the paragraph: Prepare for the System Tests.
NOTE: If you continued from the last test, remove the pressure
____ from the hydraulic systems A and B. Remove the pressure caught in the hydraulic systems A and B. To do this, push the brake pedals.

(2) Close these circuit breakers:
(a) On the P6 panel: 1) STDBY HYD PUMP NORMAL 2) FLIGHT CONTROL SHUTOFF VALVES - STBY RUD

WARNING: KEEP PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT CLEAR OF THE FLIGHT CONTROL
_______ SURFACES, THE THRUST REVERSERS, AND THE LANDING GEAR. THESE COMPONENTS CAN MOVE SUDDENLY WHEN YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMMENT.
CLEAR WHEEL WELL AREA OF ALL PERSONS AS HYDRAULIC FLUID SPILLAGE MAY OCCUR.
(3) Pressurize the standby hydraulics system (AMM 29-15-00/201).
NOTE: The LOW PRESSURE light for the standby hydraulic system
____ can come on when the thrust reverser operates.

(4) Slowly move the engine No. 1(2) reverse thrust lever up and aft to the extended position. (a) Make sure that the reverser sleeves on engine No. 1(2) move to the fully extended position within 5 seconds. 1) If the reverser does not extend in 5 seconds, do the thrust reverser trouble shooting (AMM 71-00-50/101). (b) Make sure that the No. 1 REVERSER UNLOCKED light on the center instrument panel comes on. (c) Make sure that the No. 1 REVERSER light on the aft overhead panel remains off.

(5) Move the engine No. 1(2) reverse thrust lever forward and down to the retracted position. (a) Make sure that the reverser sleeves on engine No. 1(2) move to the fully retracted position within 8 seconds. 1) If the reverser does not retract in 8 seconds, do the thrust reverser trouble shooting (AMM 71-00-50/101). (b) Make sure that the No. 1(2) REVERSER UNLOCKED light goes off. (c) Make sure that the No. 1(2) REVERSER light on the aft overhead panel goes off after approximately 10 seconds. (d) Make sure that the MASTER CAUTION light remains off.

(6) Do the Standby Operation Test for the engine No. 2 thrust reverser and monitor the lights for engine No. 2.

(7) Depressurize the standby hydraulic system (AMM 29-15-00/201).

(8) Check the hydraulic system reservoirs and service if required (AMM 12-12-00/301).

(9) Open these circuit breakers: (a) On the P6 panel: 1) STBY HYD PUMP NORMAL 2) FLIGHT CONTROL SHUTOFF VALVES - STBY RUD

(10) Put the airplane back to its usual configuration (or continue with the tests).
