 (1)  
On the two-light EAU, the 'THRUST REVERSER FAIL' light for each engine, will illuminate whenever the faults described above cause a 'REVERSER' light to illuminate.

 (2)  
On the six-light EAU, there is a 'VALVE DISAGREE', 'SLEEVE DISAGREE' and a 'RESTOW' light for each engine.

 (a)  
A 'VALVE DISAGREE' light will illuminate whenever there is a disagreement between the directional control and isolation valves in the reverser hydraulic control valve module.

 (b)  
A 'SLEEVE DISAGREE' light will illuminate whenever there is a disagreement in the positions of the two translating sleeves on one engine for more than two seconds.

 (c)  
A 'RESTOW' light will illuminate whenever a there is an actuation of the auto restow circuit.

 (d)  
Each light will remain illuminated until the appropriate T/R RESET switch on the EAU is pressed.

(3)  The sixteen-light Engine Accessory Unit (EAU) has eight lights (LT) and two switches (SW) for each engine (Fig. 1). The lights and switches, for each engine, are labelled:

 (a)  The top six lights on the EAU cannot go ON for a minimum of 14 seconds after the reverse thrust levers are pushed down (stow).
 NOTE: The SLEEVE DISAGREE light and the RESTOW light can go on

 during this time.

 (b)  The sixteen-light EAU uses two proximity sensors, the not-stowed and the auto restow sensors, installed on each thrust reverser half. The use of the two sensors allows the logic for the REVERSER UNLOCK light on the flight deck and the AUTO RESTOW control system to be changed. These limits control the REVERSER UNLOCK light and the AUTO RESTOW control system: 1) The EAU can determine the thrust reverser is retracted if
 the AUTO RESTOW proximity sensor or the NOT STOW proximity
__ sensor shows that the two reverser halves are retracted (target near) and turn the REVERSER UNLOCK light OFF.
 2)  The EAU can determine the thrust reverser is not retracted if the AUTO RESTOW proximity sensor and the NOT STOW
___ proximity sensor show that the two reverser halves are not retracted (target far), and turn the 'REVERSER UNLOCK' light ON.

(c) With these two proximity sensors, the EAU can isolate a problem to the sensor system with the top four lights for each engine, the S831 NOT STOW, the S832 NOT STOW, the S835 NOT STOW, the S836 NOT STOW. 1) The S831 NOT STOW light is controlled by the AUTO RESTOW proximity sensor on the left reverser half. The light will go ON when the sensor shows that the reverser is not retracted (target far) after the reverse thrust lever is pushed down (stow) for a minimum of 14 seconds (WDM 78-32-11 and 78-32-21). 2) The S832 NOT STOW light is controlled by the AUTO RESTOW proximity sensor on the right reverser half. The light will go ON when the sensor shows that the reverser is not retracted (target far) after the reverse thrust lever is pushed down (stow) for a minimum of 14 seconds (WDM 78-32-11 and 78-32-21). 3) The S835 NOT STOW light is controlled by the NOT-STOWED proximity sensor on the left reverser half. The light will go ON when the sensor shows that the reverser is not retracted (target far) after the reverse thrust lever is pushed down (stow) for a minimum of 14 seconds (WDM 78-31-11 and 78-31-21).
