Tighten the nuts finger-tight.
(f)
Make sure that the top of the forward and aft slider halves are positioned outboard, away from the strut centerline, and the bottom of the slider halves positioned inboard, to the strut centerline.
(g)
Use the slot to turn the two eccentric pins until the sliders touch the worn areas on the hinge track insert of the reverser.
(h)
Make sure that the sliders on the two sides are engaged one-half inch into the reverser worn areas.
(i)
Monitor the slider position during the closure of the thrust reverser as follows: 1) A light shift of the sliders is usual. 2) Make sure that no binding occurs. 3) If binding is apparent, or if thrust reverser closure shows
restricted to all degree, stop the closure and adjust the sliders inboard.
WARNING: OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS IN THE PROCEDURE TO CLOSE THE THRUST
_______ REVERSERS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS, INJURIES TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
CAUTION: WHEN CLOSING THE LEFT THRUST REVERSER HALF, MAKE SURE YOU
_______ HAVE ADEQUATE CLEARANCE BETWEEN THE MAIN ENGINE CONTROL BOX (MEC) AND THE THRUST REVERSER INNER VEE BLADE AND THE FAIRLEAD BRACKET FOR THE ACTUATOR HYDRAULICS TUBES AT APPROXIMATELY NAC WL 85. THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT.
(j) Close and open the thrust reverser (AMM 78-31-00/201).
NOTE: The above close and open sequence makes sure that you

install the sliders correctly.
(k)
Apply the torque to the two nuts to connect the slider forward half to the aft hinge fitting.
(l)
Make sure the slider does not move while you tighten the nuts.
(m)
Remove the tape from the turbine exhaust sleeve seal segments.

(43) Connect the electrical connector D1008 (D1016) to the sync lock (View B, Fig. 402).

Install the lacing tape to tie the sync lock wiring harness to the thrust reverser wiring harness.
(b)
Install the sync lock wiring harness (W1412) through the clamps that are attached to the thrust reverser.

(a) Remove the shims from the upper forward compression pad, at NAC STA 209.75, on the left and right thrust reverser halves and from the three lower compression pads on the left half (View A, Fig. 402).
NOTE: Do not remove the shims from the pads adjacent to the
____ five latch fittings on the left half.
