WARNING: DO THE DEACTIVATION PROCEDURE TO PREVENT THE OPERATION OF THE
_______ THRUST REVERSER. THE ACCIDENTAL OPERATION OF THE THRUST REVERSER CAN CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1)
Do the deactivation procedure for the thrust reverser for ground maintenance (AMM 78-31-00/201).

Remove the crew seats (AMM 25-11-11/201).

Remove the nut from the tie rod of the trim wheel to the left stabilizer.

Remove the trim wheel (Fig. 201).

Pull the trim wheel to the right stabilizer, with the tie rod, from the right side of the control stand.

Do these steps when you remove the top mechanism doors:
(a)
Disconnect the lightplate electrical connections while you remove the top mechanism doors.
(b)
Make a mark on the connections.
NOTE: This will make the installation easier.

(c) Give protection to the lightplates to prevent possible damage.

(7) Remove the lower doors from the control stand.
