(2)
A not-stowed proximity sensor is installed on the stationary torque box adjacent to each translating sleeve and is actuated by a target attached to the sleeve.
(3)
The sensors for the directional control valve and isolation valve are installed adjacent to the valves in the thrust reverser directional control valve module and are actuated by targets on the respective valve spool. These sensors detect when the directional control valve is in the deploy position and the isolation valve is open.
(4)
The auto restow proximity sensor is installed on the torque box below the not-stowed sensor described above. This sensor is the functions in the thrust reverser control system circuit (AMM 78-34-00/001).
(5)
The deploy proximity sensor is installed on the thrust reverser upper locking actuator. This sensor provides electrical input to the digital flight data recorder (AMM 31-24-00/001 or 31-24-01/001 or 31-24-02/001).
5. Operation (Fig. 3)
_________
A. Selection of reverse thrust results in movement of the translating sleeves out of the fully stowed position.
(1)
This is sensed by the not-stowed proximity sensors, actuating the respective switch cards which provides a ground to the REVERSER UNLOCKED light.
(2)
The light illuminates and remains illuminated as long as either sleeve is out of the fully-stowed position.
B. When the reverse thrust lever is moved to the fully forward and down position, the stow solenoid in the control valve module energizes and the directional control valve moves to the retract position.
(1) The isolation valve stays open by the auto-restow circuit.

The REVERSER fault light will illuminate due to the disagreement resulting from the directional control valve being out of the deloy position while the isolation valve is open.
C.
When both sleeves on the reverser reach the fully-stowed position, the not-stowed sensors activate the respective proximity switches, opening the ground to the REVERSER UNLOCKED light, extinguishing the light.
