WARNING: DURING THIS TEST, MAKE SURE THAT ALL PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE
_______ CLEAR OF THE AREA AFT OF THE THRUST REVERSER. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS, INJURIES TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
(2) Auto-Restow and Sync-Lock Test for the left half of the thrust reverser.
(a)
Reset the MASTER CAUTION light on the glare shield.
(b)
Move the manual shutoff valve lever to the shutoff position and install the C78004-2 Lockpin for the No. 1(2) thrust reverser control valve module (AMM 78-31-00/201).
(c)
Open the fan cowl panels for the No. 1(2) engine
(AMM 71-11-02/201).
WARNING: KEEP PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT CLEAR OF THE FLIGHT CONTROL

SURFACES, THE THRUST REVERSERS, AND THE LANDING GEAR.
THESE COMPONENTS CAN MOVE SUDDENLY WHEN YOU SUPPLY
HYDRAULIC POWER. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND
DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(d) Pressurize the A (B) Hydraulic System (AMM 29-15-00/201).
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT ALL PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE
_______ AREA AFT OF THE APLICABLE THRUST REVERSER. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS, INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
(e) Slowly move the No. 1(2) reverse thrust lever up and aft to the extended position.
CAUTION: DO NOT USE AN EXTENSION BAR OR OTHER TOOL TO MOVE THE
_______ UNLOCK HANDLE. IF YOU USE AN EXTENSION BAR OR OTHER TOOLS, DAMAGE TO THE UNLOCK HANDLE OR ACTUATOR CAN OCCUR.
(f) On engine No. 1(2), move the manual unlock handle forward on the upper actuator of the left reverser half, then release the handle.
NOTE: This will permit the preload springs to push the
____
sleeve aft.
1) On the flight deck, do a check of the condition of these lights: a) On the center instrument panel, make sure the No. 1(2)
REVERSER UNLOCK light comes on. b) On the aft overhead panel, make sure the No. 1(2) REVERSER light comes on.

c) On the glare shield, make sure the MASTER CAUTION and ENG lights come on approximately 12 seconds later. 2) On the EAU, do a check of the condition of these lights:
a) AIRPLANES WITH THE TWO LIGHT ENGINE ACCESSORY UNIT; Make sure the No. 1(2) THRUST REVERSER FAIL light comes on.
b) AIRPLANES WITH THE SIX LIGHT ENGINE ACCESSORY UNIT; Make sure the No. 1(2) SLEEVE DISAGREE and RESTOW lights come on.
c) AIRPLANES WITH THE SIXTEEN LIGHT ENGINE ACCESSORY UNIT; Make sure the No. 1(2) SLEEVE DISAGREE and RESTOW lights come on.
(g) Move the No. 1(2) reverse thrust lever forward and down to the stow position.
NOTE: You must do the next step, 2.(h), within 2 minutes after
____ you move the reverse thrust lever to the stow position. If you do not, the sync lock will lock and prevent the movement of the sleeve.
1) On the EAU, do a check of the condition of these lights:
a) AIRPLANES WITH THE TWO LIGHT ENGINE ACCESSORY UNIT; Make sure the No. 1(2) THRUST REVERSER FAIL light remains on.
b) AIRPLANES WITH THE SIX LIGHT ENGINE ACCESSORY UNIT; Make sure the VALVE DISAGREE light comes on.
c) AIRPLANES WITH THE SIXTEEN LIGHT ENGINE ACCESSORY UNIT; Make sure these lights for the No. 1(2) reverser come on after approximately 14 seconds:

S831 - NOT STOW

S835 - NOT STOW

(h) Wait 15 seconds and no more than 2 minutes after you move the reverse thrust lever to the stow position, then remove the C78004-2 lockpin from the No. 1(2) control valve module for the thrust reverser (AMM 78-31-00/201). 1) Make sure the manual shutoff valve lever returns to the
vertical position after you remove the lockpin. 2) Make sure the left reverser sleeve on engine No. 1(2) moves to the stowed position and stays stowed.
