Unlock the sync lock:
(a)
Move the No. 1(2) reverse thrust lever to the extend position.
(b)
Move the No. 1(2) reverse thrust lever to the retract position.
NOTE: You must do the next step in less than 90 seconds
____ after you move the reverse thrust lever to the retract position. If you do not, the sync lock will lock and prevent the movement of the sleeve.

(13) Do the activation procedure for the thrust reverser for ground maintenance (AMM 78-31-00/201).
NOTE: The sleeve will retract.

Make sure that the actuator rod stop (View A-A, Fig. 401) is against the gland nut on all three actuators to make sure that the sleeve retracted.

Connect the flex shaft(s) to the actuator as follows:
NOTE: If you installed a center actuator, do these steps

at the upper and lower sides of the actuator.
(a)
Push the tube coupling nut and the adapter (View B, Fig. 401) along the tube as it is necessary to expose the flex shaft end.
(b)
Engage the flex shaft with the worm gear shaft in the actuator port. 1) Tighten the flex shaft connection(s) to 255 pound-inches
(28.9 Nm).
NOTE: Tighten the hydraulic connections that have been
____ disconnected to 255 pound-inches (28.9 Nm), then loosen and retighten them to 255 pound-inches (28.9 Nm). Fittings with O-rings should not be double-torqued.
2) Loosen and tighten the connection(s) again to 255 pound-inches (28.9 Nm).

(a) On the P6 panel:
