Remove the applicable wire leads from the electrical connector D5114P (D5116P).
-Remove the pin 9, pin 10 and pin 11 from the connector.
(d)
Remove the lockwire and the nut that attach the deploy sensor to the mounting bracket.
(e)
Remove the deploy proximity sensor from the bracket.

CAUTION: IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU DO NOT SPLICE A PROXIMITY SENSOR
_______ INTO THE WIRE BUNDLE. SPLICES CAN CAUSE INCORRECT INDICATION.
(1)
If you have to replace one proximity sensor, it is recommended that you replace all of the proximity sensors on the thrust reverser half.
(2)
If you replace one proximity sensor, it is recommended that the leads be reterminated at the connector.
(a)
You must disassemble the wire bundle to do this.
(b)
After you replace the proximity sensor, you must reassemble the wire bundle to its original configuration.

Install the proximity sensors

(1) Do these steps to install the Not-stow/Auto-restow sensors
(Fig. 401):
(a)
Put the proximity sensors through the mounting holes in the torque box. 1) Engage the tang on the sensor with the hole in the torque
box.
(b)
Install each switch with a washer and jamnut.
1) Install the lockwire between the jamnuts and the adjacent clips.
(c)
If applicable, install the sleeve on the sensor.
1) Screw the sleeve on to the sensor until the end face of the sleeve extends past the aft face of the sensor by 0.03 -
0.04 inch (0.076 - 0.101 centimeters). 2) Install lockwire.
(d) Install the wire bundle clamps.
NOTE: If you have replaced only one sensor, install the wire
____ leads to their original pin-position on the connector.
(e) Connect the connector to the receptracle on the strut bracket. 1) Tighten the connector with your fingers. 2) Install the lockwire on the connector.

(2) Adjust the sensor-to-target gap for each sensor (AMM 78-34-03/501).

(3) S 424-026-C00Do these steps to install the deploy proximity sensor. (a) Put the deploy proximity sensor through the mounting bracket and install the nut. Safety the nut with lockwire. 1) Install the wiring of the deploy sensor to the wire bundle. 2) Install the wire leads in to the connector as follows: - The red wire to the pin 9 - The yellow wire to the pin 10 - The blue wire to the pin 11. (Refer to SWPM chapter 20, wiring practices). 3) Attach the wire bundle with the clamps in the proper position.
NOTE:____ Wire bundle installations for the right and left thrust reverser are different. The position of the clamps must be as shown in Fig. 402.
(b) Connect the electrical connector to the receptacle on the strut bracket.
(4) S 824-027-C00Do the adjustment of the deploy proximity sensor-to-target gap (AMM 78-34-03/501).
NOTE:____ Make sure you do the necessary tests after you adjust the sensors (AMM 78-34-03/501).
