(1) Make sure that the thrust reverser you are to install is a
non-isolated thrust reverser.
(a) If the thrust reverser you are to install is an isolated thrust reverser, make sure that Service Bulletin 737-78-1059 is completed before you install an isolated thrust reverser on an airplane with non-isolated struts.

(2) If you are to install a new thrust reverser on the airplane, make
sure the forward hinge link for the thrust reverser has been
transferred to the new one to be installed.

WARNING: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU REMOVE AND INSTALL THE THRUST REVERSER IN

SUDDEN STRONG WINDS CONDITIONS. DO NOT USE THE HOLD-OPEN ROD
TO HOLD THE COWLING IN THE OPEN POSITION IF THE WIND VELOCITY
IS MORE THAN 60 KNOTS. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND
DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT.
