 WARNING: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU REMOVE AND INSTALL THE THRUST REVERSER IN
_______ SUDDEN STRONG WINDS CONDITIONS. DO NOT USE THE HOLD-OPEN ROD TO HOLD THE COWLING IN THE OPEN POSITION IF THE WIND VELOCITY IS MORE THAN 60 KNOTS. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT.
 WARNING: DO THE DEACTIVATION PROCEDURE TO PREVENT THE OPERATION OF THE
_______ THRUST REVERSER. THE ACCIDENTAL OPERATION OF THE THRUST REVERSER CAN CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (1)  Do the deactivation procedure for the thrust reverser for ground maintenance (AMM 78-31-00/201).

 (2)  Open the circuit breakers and attach the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags for the applicable engine as follows:
 (a)  P6 Load Control Center
 1) ENG 1 THR REV IND SYS
 2) ENG 2 THR REV IND SYS
 3) ENG 1 SYNC LOCK
 4) ENG 2 SYNC LOCK
 5) ENG 2 SYNC LOCK - ALTN

 (3)  Make sure you remove the forward two hinge seal supports from the upper bifurcation of the thrust reverser.

 CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE THRUST REVERSER HALVES DO NOT CLOSE AT THE
_______ SAME TIME BEFORE THE FINAL ADJUSTMENT. THIS CAN CAUSE STRUCTURAL DAMAGE TO THE THRUST REVERSER HALVES.
 (4)  
Adjust the compression rods (Fig. 404) to the length shown.
