(9) For engine No. 1, make sure these circuit breakers are open and have a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag:
(a) P6-2 Load Control Center
1) ENG 1 THR REV CONT SYS
2) ENG 1 SYNC LOCK

(10) For engine No. 2, make sure these circuit breakers are open and have a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag:
(a) P6-2 Load Control Center
1) ENG 2 THR REV CONT SYS
2) ENG 2 THR REV CONT SYS - ALTN
3) ENG 2 SYNC LOCK
4) ENG 2 SYNC LOCK - ALTN

(11) Make sure these circuit breakers are closed:
(a) P6-2 Load Control Center
1) ENG 1 THR REV IND SYS
2) ENG 2 THR REV IND SYS

(12) Remove the lamps from the thrust reverser indication and fault lights.
(a)
On the center instrument panel, remove the lamp from the applicable REVERSER UNLOCKED light (AMM 33-11-81/201).
(b)
On the center instrument panel, install an INOP placard adjacent to the REVERSER UNLOCKED light.
(c)
On the aft overhead panel, remove the lamp from the applicable REVERSER fault light (AMM 33-11-81/201)

(13) Install lockwire to the applicable reverse thrust lever in the stowed position.

This procedure gives the steps to release the thrust reverser sleeves after the deactivation for flight dispatch procedure.

(1) Open the fan cowl panels (AMM 71-11-02/201).

WARNING: DO THE DEACTIVATION PROCEDURE TO PREVENT THE OPERATION OF THE
_______ THRUST REVERSER. THE ACCIDENTAL OPERATION OF THE THRUST REVERSER CAN CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(2) Do this task: Thrust Reverser Deactivation For Ground Maintenance (AMM 78-31-00/201).

CAUTION: DO NOT DO THE THRUST REVERSER ACTIVATION AFTER FLIGHT DISPATCH
_______ PROCEDURE UNTIL YOU FIND THE CAUSE FOR THE DEACTIVATION PROCEDURE. THE PROBLEM MUST BE REPAIRED BEFORE YOU RELEASE THE SLEEVES OR THE THRUST REVERSER WILL NOT OPERATE CORRECTLY.
(3) Do the steps that follow to activate each thrust reverser sleeve (Fig. 901):
(a) Use a wrench with a 3/8-inch square drive to remove the secondary deactivation pin from the sleeve.
