3) Hold the 3/8 inch square drive in when you turn the manual drive.
(i)
For the sleeve on the left side of the engine, Turn the wrench clockwise (viewed from above).
(j)
For the sleeve on the right side of the engine, Turn the wrench counterclockwise (viewed from above).
NOTE: The sleeve will be in the fully extended position when
____ you hear the override clutch ratchet on the manual drive. It is necessary to turn the speed wrench 230-240 turns to move the sleeve to the fully extended position.
(k) Remove the wrench from the manual drive.
D. Manually Retract the Thrust Reverser

WARNING: MAKE SURE THERE ARE NO PERSONS, EQUIPMENT, WORK STANDS, OR
_______ OTHER OBJECTS IN THE AREA AFT OF THE THRUST REVERSER SLEEVES. INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR IF A THRUST REVERSER SLEEVE MOVES AND TOUCHES THEM.
(1) Make sure the travel area for the sleeve is clear of equipment.

CAUTION:_______MAKE SURE THE THRUST REVERSER IS CLOSED AND LATCHED. IF THE
THRUST REVERSER IS NOT CLOSED AND LATCHED, AND THE THRUST
REVERSER SLEEVE MOVES, DAMAGE TO THE SLEEVE-TO-STRUT FAIRINGS
WILL OCCUR.
(2) Make sure the thrust reverser is closed and latched.

(3) Make sure that the task is completed: Thrust Reverser Deactivation
for Ground Maintenance.

(4) Retract the thrust reverser with hydraulic power.
NOTE: To completely retract the thrust reverser, you must use
____ hydraulic power. You can use a wrench to partially retract the thrust reveser sleeves, however, hydraulic power will still be required to completely retract the thrust reverser.
If hydraulic power is not available to the thrust reverser, retract the thrust reverser as specified in the Thrust Reverser Deactivation for Flight Dispatch.
(a) If not already on, supply the electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201). 1) Remove the DO-NOT-OPERATE tag from the BAT switch.
WARNING: KEEP PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT CLEAR OF THE FLIGHT CONTROL
_______ SURFACES, THE THRUST REVERSERS, AND THE LANDING GEAR. THESE COMPONENTS CAN MOVE SUDDENLY WHEN YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(b)
Supply hydraulic power (AMM 29-15-00/201).
(c)
Make sure the reverse thrust lever is fully forward.
(d)
Unlock the sync lock.
1) Move the No. 1(2) reverse thrust lever to the extend position.
CAUTION: YOU MUST REMOVE THE LOCKPIN C78004-2 FROM THE MANUAL
_______ SHUTOFF VALVE LEVER IN LESS THAN 2 MINUTES AFTER YOU MOVE THE REVERSE THRUST LEVEL TO THE RETRACT POSITION. IF YOU DO NOT, THE SYNC LOCK WILL LOCK AND PREVENT THE MOVEMENT OF THE SLEEVE.
2) Move the No. 1(2) reverse thrust lever to the retract position.
