(1) Do the deactivation procedure for the thrust reverser for ground maintenance (AMM 78-31-00/201).

Remove the thrust reverser translating sleeve (AMM 78-31-02/401).

AIRPLANES WITH THE OLD STYLE AUXILIARY TRACK LINERS; AIRPLANES PRE BOEING SB 78A1048; Measure dimension A (Fig. 601). Take measurements every 2 inches along the length of the track.
(a)
If the dimension A is within the tolerance, no further action is necessary. Do this task: Put The Airplane Back To Its Usual Condition.
(b)
If the dimension A is not within the tolerance, remove the auxiliary track liner (CMM 78-31-23).

(4) AIRPLANES WITH THE NEW STYLE AUXILIARY TRACK LINERS; AIRPLANES POST BOEING SB 78A1048; Remove the auxiliary track liner (CMM 78-31-23).
NOTE: Dimension A is not used for this configuration.

(5) Measure the dimensions B, C, D, E, F, G, and H (Fig. 602). Take measurements every 2 inches along the length of the track.
(a)
If the dimensions are in the limits, do these steps: 1) Install the auxiliary track liner (CMM 78-31-23). 2) No further action is necessary. Do this task: Put The
Airplane Back To Its Usual Condition.
(b)
If the dimensions are not in the limits, do these steps: 1) If the auxiliary track is replaceable, do the procedure to remove and replace the auxiliary track (CMM 78-31-23).
2) If the auxiliary track is not replaceable, do the procedure to remove and repair the auxiliary track beam (CMM 78-31-23).
NOTE: To repair the auxiliary track, refer to the
____ applicable repair procedure (CMM 78-31-23).
