Apply the torque to the two nuts to connect the slider forward half to the aft hinge fitting.

Make sure the slider does not move while you tighten the nuts.

Remove the tape from the turbine exhaust sleeve seal segments.

(29) Connect the electrical connector D1008 (D1016) to the sync lock (View B, Fig. 402).

Install the lacing tape to tie the sync lock wiring harness to the thrust reverser wiring harness.
(b)
Install the sync lock wiring harness (W1412) through the clamps that are attached to the thrust reverser.

Connect the hydraulic hoses to the fittings on the fan cowl panel (Views B and F, Fig. 402) and tighten to 255 inch-pounds (28.8 Newton-meters).

Do all the applicable steps again to install the opposite thrust reverser half.

Do not do these steps if you are to install the same thrust reverser half or halves and you have not changed the engine.
(a) Remove the shims from the upper forward compression pad, at NAC
STA 209.75, on the left and right thrust reverser halves and
from the three lower compression pads on the left half
(View A, Fig. 402).
NOTE:____ Do not remove the shims from the pads adjacent to the
five latch fittings on the left half.
(b) Apply a piece of clay approximately 0.20 inch (5.1 mm) thick to
these items:
1) The compression pads from which the shims have been
removed.
2) The two aft upper compression pads , at NAC STA 233.38 and
NAC STA 246.70 on each thrust reverser half.
(c) Apply bearing grease to the surfaces (or other suitable release
agent) which will contact with the clay when the cowl/reverser
halves are closed. WARNING: OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS IN THE PROCEDURE TO OPEN THE THRUST
_______ REVERSERS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS, INJURIES TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
(d) Close the thrust reverser (AMM 78-31-00/201).
